PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has asserted that rumours circulating on social media regarding the acquisition of BBCA shares by Andi Syamsuddin Arsyad, or Haji Isam, are untrue. Consequently, BCA has urged customers and the public to access information from official sources, including the company’s official website and credible media outlets.

“In response to the issues circulating on social media regarding plans for certain corporate actions involving BCA, we can state that such information is incorrect,” said Hera F. Haryn, EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility at BCA, in a statement in Jakarta on Friday (25/09/2026).

Hera emphasised that the bank always operates based on the principles of prudence, integrity, and compliance with applicable regulations. For context, BCA’s share ownership is still dominated by PT Dwimuria Investama Andalan (DIA) with 67.73 billion shares, representing 54.94 per cent.

Meanwhile, shares held by the public account for 44.64 per cent, consisting of 2.51 per cent scrip shares and 42.13 per cent non-scrip shares. Changes occurred at the ultimate controlling level following the passing of Bambang Hartono, as disclosed by the company through a material information disclosure on 31 July 2026.

Previously, Robert Budi Hartono and Bambang Hartono were the shareholders of PT DIA, which serves as the ultimate controlling shareholder of BCA.

Following the death of Bambang Hartono, there was a change in the controlling shareholder of PT DIA to Robert Budi Hartono, while Robert’s ownership percentage in PT DIA remained unchanged at 51 per cent. As a result, Robert Budi Hartono has become the ultimate controlling shareholder of BCA.

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Haji Isam, through his company PT Jhonlin Baratama, recently signed a conditional share purchase agreement with Low Tuck Kwong and Elaine Low, the majority owners of PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN). The conditional share purchase agreement, dated 16 September 202<0xA0>26, pertains to the planned transfer of 10,000,000,500—or ten billion five hundred million—common shares, equivalent to a 30 per cent stake in BYAN, to Jhonlin Baratama.

Upon completion of the transaction and the fulfilment of all conditions precedent, Haji Isam will hold 30 per cent of the total outstanding shares of BYAN, which consists of 33,333,335,000 shares.
