Haj quota

Haj quota

From Pikiran Rakyat

I disagree with the policy of the Saudi Arabian government to limit the quota for the haj pilgrims from foreign countries.

Actually, the Saudi Arabian government should limit the number of local pilgrims (especially the illegal pilgrims), that keep increasing every year. They do not set up tents; they cook, eat, drink, sleep or even dump garbage in the street. If necessary they should be prohibited from doing so.

Potential Indonesian haj pilgrims, who have to save for years until they are able to fulfill the fifth Islamic pillar, are hurt by the quota system.
