Haier Showcases AI-Based Smart Home Ecosystem at IFA 2026
Connected devices are becoming increasingly adaptive to everyday needs.
Berlin, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) — Haier, the world’s number one major home appliances brand for 17 consecutive years*, showcased its AI-based smart home ecosystem at IFA 2026. The technologies displayed by Haier cover a wide range of household needs, from garment care, food storage and cooking to entertainment, digital services and robotics. Under the theme “Home of Intelligent Possibilities”, Haier introduced the concept of a connected home capable of doing more than merely executing commands. Haier devices can recognise surrounding conditions, understand user needs, learn user habits, and then adapt the way they operate. Through this approach, Haier creates an experience at home that is more practical, adaptive and responsive.
AI that Adapts to Daily Activities
Across its product range, Haier uses AI to process information in real time and adjust device usage based on detected conditions. One example is the Vision 15 washing machine, equipped with an internal camera, sensors and algorithms to recognise a range of factors, from the size of the laundry load and load balance to the level of foam. Based on this information, the system automatically adjusts the water volume, detergent dosage, drum movement and washing programme. For food storage, the Maestro prototype combines several preservation technologies in a single device. Meanwhile, the AI Food Care System 2.0 can identify stored food items and recommend suitable storage conditions so that users can manage and preserve their food more effectively.
A similar approach is applied to the ID Ultimate Series 6 oven. Its internal camera can recognise food whilst monitoring the cooking process, then automatically halting the programme once the food reaches the desired result. In the living room, UltraSense AI analyses the content being watched as well as the surrounding environment, then adjusts picture and sound quality on the Haier Smart TV in real time.
This range of technologies extends the use of AI across various household activities, from washing clothes and storing food to cooking and enjoying entertainment. Through the hOn app, Haier Europe integrates products, services and various smart home features into a single digital platform. Connected devices then communicate and operate according to the user’s routines, so that smart technology is not merely present as a feature but can genuinely be used in everyday activities.
Haier’s smart home ecosystem has also expanded on a global scale. According to Euromonitor International, Haier Smart Home was named the world’s number one smart home company by global revenue in 2025. Haier’s smart home platform now has more than 130 million registered users worldwide and recorded 86.1 billion interactions across various smart scenarios throughout 2025.
Expanding the Role of Intelligent Technology into Physical Interaction
Haier is also exploring the application of AI and embodied intelligence across various physical activities. In its exhibition area, Haier displayed a humanoid robot capable of interacting with household appliances, a cleaning robot able to recognise various objects and types of dirt, and a companion robot providing assistance through voice commands and support tailored to the user’s needs.
The application of this technology is also being extended beyond the home through the Haier Exoskeleton. Its sensors and algorithms can read the user’s movement intentions in real time, then adjust the level of assistance according to each user’s needs. This technology also supports mobility without restricting natural freedom of movement. Overall, the series of demonstrations reflects Haier’s efforts to integrate AI, household appliances and robotics to deliver solutions more relevant to human needs.
The entire technology portfolio rests on Haier’s open “10+N” innovation system, which connects global research resources with an understanding of user needs across various regions. In the first half of 2026, Haier topped IPRdaily’s global smart home invention patent list for the 15th consecutive time. Over the next five years, Haier plans to invest a minimum of EUR 13 billion in developing fundamental technologies, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors and IoT security, as the foundation of the company’s transformation towards an AI-based ecosystem.
Through its participation at IFA 2026, Haier is also strengthening its global sports partnerships through the “Play with the Number Ones” concept. The concept links the drive for sporting achievement with Haier’s focus on promoting innovation, improving performance and delivering better user experiences across world markets.
During IFA 2026 in Berlin, visitors can see and try Haier’s smart home technologies directly at Hall 3.1, Stand 101, from 4 to 8 September.
