Hadi Gunawan Unanimously Elected as Democratic Party’s NTB Chair Candidate

Mataram (ANTARA) – Former West Nusa Tenggara Police Chief Inspector General (ret.) Hadi Gunawan was unanimously selected as a candidate for chair of the Democratic Party’s West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Executive Board for the 2026–2031 term at an extraordinary regional conference in Mataram on Friday.

“Thank you to all the branch executive boards who have entrusted me with leading the Democratic Party’s NTB Regional Executive Board,” Hadi told reporters after the conference in Mataram on Friday.

Hadi expressed his gratitude for the confidence shown by all Democratic Party branch executive boards (DPCs) across NTB’s regencies and cities.

He said his first steps would be to improve party management and strengthen internal unity to ensure the organisation ran effectively.

On the composition of the NTB Regional Executive Board for 2026–2031, Hadi said it would be decided by a committee of formateurs established in accordance with party procedures.

“As the Democratic Party, we must make decisions democratically,” he said.

“We must work together to ensure our legislative candidates are elected to the House of Representatives,” he added.
