Habiburokhman Urges TNI, Polri, and AGO to Remain Solid After Corruption Case Implicates Febrie Adriansyah
Jakarta, VIVA – Habiburokhman, Chair of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), has reminded all law enforcement officials and state security institutions to maintain solidarity amid the legal process over alleged corruption and money laundering offences implicating the former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah.
According to Habiburokhman, a case involving a single rogue individual must not give rise to friction or disrupt the synergy between law enforcement institutions. He therefore urged the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the Attorney General’s Office to remain united in carrying out their anti-corruption duties.
“Commission III of the DPR RI firmly reminds all state security and law enforcement institutions, from Polri and the Attorney General’s Office to the TNI, to remain solid, united and in close synergy,” Habiburokhman said on Sunday, 12 July 2026.
Call for All Institutions to Share One Vision on Fighting Corruption
Habiburokhman emphasised that all law enforcement institutions must share the same vision in supporting the agenda of the government of President Prabowo Subianto, particularly in efforts to eradicate corruption.
He noted that the anti-corruption commitment pursued by the government requires the full backing of all law enforcement officials so that law enforcement can proceed effectively and without being swayed by other interests.
“All these law enforcement institutions must have one vision in ensuring the success of President Prabowo Subianto’s programmes, which are firmly and uncompromisingly committed to eradicating corruption at home,” he said.
The statement came in the wake of public attention on the alleged corruption and money laundering case implicating Febrie Adriansyah.
The Febrie Adriansyah Case Under Scrutiny
Previously, the National Police Headquarters named Febrie Adriansyah a suspect in an alleged corruption and money laundering case related to the handling of the coal corruption case, PT ASABRI, and other corruption cases.
Amid the legal process, Febrie decided to step down from his post as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes.
The decision was confirmed by the Attorney General’s Office through the Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum), Anang Supriatna.
According to Anang, Febrie’s resignation letter was received directly by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin on Saturday, 11 July 2026.
“On this day, Saturday (11 July 2026), the Attorney General received the resignation of Mr Febrie Adriansyah from his post as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes,” Anang said.
