Habiburokhman Praises State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi: A Refined Moerdiono

The Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Habiburokhman, offered praise to the State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, during a DPR RI plenary session. Habiburokhman likened Prasetyo to the former State Secretary from the era of Indonesia’s second President, Soeharto, Moerdiono.

This praise was delivered during the plenary session at the DPR RI Building in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (9/6/2026). One of the primary agendas of the session was the second-level discussion and decision-making regarding the Bill on the third amendment to Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri).

“Our respected Chair and Deputy Chair of the DPR RI, our respected colleagues of the DPR RI, and our respected State Secretary, Mr Prasetyo Hadi. Sir, this is… what was his name? This is Moerdiono refined,” said Habiburocalman.

It is noted that Moerdiono served as State Secretary for two terms between 1988–1993 and 1993–1998. Habiburokhman also acknowledged other attendees, including the Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas, Deputy Minister of Law Eddy Hiariej, and the Chief of National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

“Our respected Minister of Law of the Republic of Indonesia, our respected Chief of National Police, Listyo Sigit Prabowo. It is rare for him to be present here. One of the best Chiefs of Police of all time. Let us give him a round of applause,” he added.
