Habib Novel Alaydrus: Anyone Who Opposes Zionist Israel Deserves Support

A charismatic preacher from Solo, Habib Novel Alaydrus, has expressed his support for anyone who opposes Zionist Israel amid the escalating conflict between the United States and Israel against Iran. The statement was delivered in a video sermon that has gone viral on social media recently.

Answering a question from the congregation about whether to defend Iran in the conflict, Habib Novel answered firmly, “Yes. Opposing Zionist Israel is a duty. Because they have caused destruction on earth,” he said, cited from a video uploaded to his official Instagram account @novelalaydrus on Thursday, 5 March 2026.

He argued that Israel has caused damage and suffering, particularly to the Palestinian people. According to him, the violence in Palestine does not discriminate by age or sex.

“They exploit the people in Palestine. They do not recognise children, women, or the elderly. They are being slaughtered. Therefore, opposing Zionist Israel is a duty,” he stated.

Habib Novel Alaydrus even said that anyone who stands against Zionist Israel deserves support, regardless of religious background. “If anyone opposes Zionist Israel, even a kafir, I would be pleased,” he said.

He emphasised that the support is not based on shared denomination or group, but on attitudes toward what he calls oppression and violence. According to him, the main enemy is actions that lack humanity.

“Anyone who opposes kufr, we support those who oppose kufr, regardless of whether they are Muslim or not,” he added.
