H+8 After Eid, Traffic Volume to Jakarta Remains High
JAKARTA – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded that the return flow of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 from the eastern Trans Java region to Jakarta still shows high volumes entering H+8 after Eid. During the period from H-day to H+8 of Eid al-Fitr, or 21–29 March 2026, a total of 618,966 vehicles passed through heading to Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This figure represents a significant increase of 139.08 per cent compared to normal traffic of 258,897 vehicles. “Meanwhile, in the data for shift 1 on 30 March 2026, 15,568 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 84.41 per cent from normal traffic of 8,442 vehicles. This data indicates that the return flow from the eastern Trans Java region is still ongoing,” said Ria in an official statement. “In line with the normalisation of traffic engineering at the discretion of the Police on the Trans Java toll road sections, JTT continues to optimise services at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate by operating 22 toll booths for the Jakarta direction and 8 toll booths for the Java direction,” Ria added. Meanwhile, vehicle flow to the eastern Trans Java region via the Cikampek Utama Gate also experienced an increase. A total of 306,434 vehicles passed through, up 19.24 per cent from normal traffic of 256,980 vehicles. Increased vehicle volumes were also monitored on several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group, particularly in Central Java. At the Kalikangkung Gate, vehicles leaving Semarang totalled 403,212 units, up 190.39 per cent, while the opposite direction to Semarang reached 168,628 vehicles, up 16.84 per cent. At the Banyumanik Gate, traffic to Jakarta totalled 418,517 vehicles, an increase of 142.80 per cent from normal conditions. Vehicles heading to Solo reached 283,989 units, up 34.77 per cent. For East Java, increases were also seen at several toll gates. At the Warugunung Gate, vehicles to Jakarta totalled 269,340 units, up 57.31 per cent, while to Surabaya it was 301,815 vehicles, up 64.28 per cent. Meanwhile, at the Kejapanan Utama Gate, vehicles to Surabaya totalled 340,507 units, up 48.12 per cent, and to Malang 313,938 vehicles, up 45.33 per cent. At the Singosari Gate, traffic to Surabaya reached 190,996 vehicles, up 59.56 per cent, and to Malang 173,927 vehicles, up 39.53 per cent.
