H+5 Lebaran: Return Traffic on MBZ Toll Road Still Increasing
JAKARTA – PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) has recorded an increase in vehicle volume heading to Jakarta via the Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) toll road on H+5 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026, or Thursday (26/3/2026).
Based on traffic data, the volume of vehicles heading to Jakarta reached 53,976 units. This figure surged by 147.26% compared to normal traffic, which was recorded at 21,830 vehicles.
The data indicates that traffic flow on the MBZ toll road is still dominated by vehicles moving towards Jakarta. This condition aligns with the continuation of the Lebaran return traffic.
“If compared to the traffic volume on H+4 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, vehicles heading to Jakarta increased from 53,189 to 53,976 vehicles, or up by around 1.48%,” said Desti.
Desti added that the volume of vehicles leaving Jakarta actually decreased. From 29,502 vehicles on H+4, it dropped to 28,437 vehicles, or a reduction of about 3.61%.
This decline reflects the diminishing outbound flow from Jakarta, in line with vehicle movements increasingly dominated by the return traffic to the capital.
