H+4 Lebaran: 180,000 Passengers Crowd Soekarno-Hatta Airport

Passenger movement during the return flow of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten, was observed to be busy on Wednesday (25/3). Based on data from PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney), a total of 180,555 passengers are predicted to crowd the airport today. This number consists of 99,637 arriving passengers and 80,918 departing passengers. All passenger movements are spread across three terminals, namely Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3, with a total of 1,198 domestic and international flights, including 36 cargo flights. Observations by CNNIndonesia.com at Terminal 1 showed crowding in the arrival area. From noon until evening, passengers from various regions continued to arrive. The majority of arriving passengers are returnees from several cities, including Bali, Pontianak, Makassar, Ambon, Central Kalimantan, Jambi, Lampung, Manado, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Palembang, Batam, Pangkal Pinang, and Medan. The management of Soekarno-Hatta Airport predicts that the peak of the Lebaran return flow in 2026 will occur on 28 March, coinciding with the end of the long Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
