H+3 Eid al-Fitr, Traffic on MBZ Toll Road to Jakarta Surges 202%
JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (PT JJC) recorded a surge in vehicle volume on the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Elevated Toll Road on H+3 Eid al-Fitr 2026, Tuesday (24/3), particularly in the return flow towards Jakarta. Based on data, 64,573 vehicles were recorded heading to Jakarta. This figure increased by 202.53% compared to normal traffic of 21,344 vehicles. On the other hand, outbound traffic from Jakarta also experienced an increase. A total of 33,197 vehicles passed through, or up 57.68% from normal traffic of 21,054 vehicles. This condition shows that traffic movement is still occurring in both directions, although the flow towards Jakarta remains dominant. “Road users are expected to manage their travel time wisely, avoid times with high congestion potential, prepare their journeys well, and take advantage of the 30% toll discount on 26 and 27 March 2026 to ensure smooth and comfortable travel,” said Hendri, in his official statement. Overall, traffic conditions on the MBZ Elevated Toll Road section are still monitored as smooth and controlled. This is supported by intensive traffic monitoring and the readiness of operational personnel in the field.
