In addition to passenger movement, aircraft movement also showed a high increase, reaching 28 percent. “During these five days of the 2026 Eid Post, there were 214 aircraft movements, whereas last year there were only 167 aircraft movements,” added Teguh Darmawan Saiman. Based on preliminary data, passenger movement during the homecoming flow at El Tari International Airport in Kupang peaked on Saturday (14/3) H-6 Eid with 4,626 passengers. Besides focusing on operational readiness and airport personnel in facing the surge in passengers, the management of El Tari International Airport in Kupang also continues to ensure the readiness of other supporting facilities. “We have conducted intensive communication with PLN to ensure that the airport’s electricity supply runs smoothly during the 2026 Eid Air Transport Post period,” he emphasised. Teguh Darmawan Saiman stated that the airport side also consistently coordinates with Perum LPPNPI, BMKG, and all stakeholders to monitor weather developments in real time.
