The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, records that prices of several food commodities remain high. Red bird’s eye chillies are one example, reaching Rp 104,050 per kilogram (kg), while broiler chicken meat is Rp 43,450 per kg.

Based on data from PIHPS reported in Jakarta on Wednesday (25/3/2026) at 06.00 WIB, besides chicken meat and red bird’s eye chillies, other national retail-level food prices include shallots at Rp 44,900 per kg and garlic at Rp 39,550 per kg.

Additionally, lower grade I rice is priced at Rp 14,100 per kg, lower grade II rice at Rp 14,200 per kg. Medium grade I rice is Rp 15,650 per kg and medium grade II rice is Rp 15,150 per kg. Super grade I rice is Rp 16,700 per kg and super grade II rice is Rp 16,200 per kg.

Furthermore, PIHPS records large red chillies at Rp 53,000 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp 54,900 per kg, and green bird’s eye chillies at Rp 48,050 per kg. Beef grade I is Rp 147,300 per kg and beef grade II is Rp 137,750 per kg.

The next commodities are premium white sugar at Rp 19,950 per kg and local white sugar at Rp 18,650 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil is Rp 19,900 per litre, branded packaged cooking oil I is Rp 22,850 per litre, and branded packaged cooking oil II is Rp 21,700 per litre.

In addition, PIHPS also records the price of broiler chicken eggs at Rp 32,350 per kg.
