PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Railway Operation Region 1 Jakarta recorded 22,749 passengers departing from various stations within the Jakarta Daop 1 region on Tuesday, the eleventh day before Eid 2026, whilst 17,241 passengers arrived, bringing total passenger movement to 39,990 people.

Pasar Senen Station recorded the highest departure volume with 8,964 passengers, followed by Gambir Station with 4,080 passengers, Bekasi with 3,263 passengers, Cikarang with 2,173 passengers, and other stations within the Jakarta Daop 1 region.

According to KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Franoto Wibowo, passenger movement within the Jakarta region remained normal until the eleventh day before Eid, though the company projected passenger numbers would begin increasing in the coming days as the Eid holiday exodus approached its peak.

Ticket sales reached their highest level during the 11–20 March 2026 period, with a total of 431,016 tickets reserved by the public.

As part of the government’s economic stimulus programme, KAI is offering discounts of up to 30 per cent on commercial economy class trains for departures between 14–29 March 2026. The national programme provides approximately 1.2 million seats, whilst the Jakarta Daop 1 region specifically has approximately 329,000 commercial economy class seats available, with approximately 65,000 seats remaining.

During the Eid transport season, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta is operating 87 long-distance train journeys daily, consisting of 68 regular trains, 19 additional Eid trains, and 4 free motor train (Motis) services.
