JAKARTA – On 11 March 2026, ten days before the Eid al-Fitr holiday in 1447 H / 2026, PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (PT JJC) recorded an increase in vehicle traffic volume leaving Jakarta through the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) toll road section.

A total of 26,449 vehicles left Jakarta on that day.

“This represents a 21.4 per cent increase compared to normal traffic of 21,787 vehicles,” said Desti Anggraeni, General Manager of Operations and Maintenance at PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek, in an official statement on 12 March 2026.

She noted that the increase in vehicle volume occurred across all time periods: 18.31 per cent in the morning, 8.6 per cent during the day, and the highest increase of 60.71 per cent during the evening compared to normal conditions.

She also reported that increases were recorded at 16.97 per cent in the morning and 15.43 per cent in the evening, whilst daytime traffic declined by 8.2 per cent compared to normal conditions.

The data demonstrates that vehicle movement on the MBZ toll road section is beginning to increase as the Eid al-Fitr 2026 holiday period approaches.

“Overall, traffic conditions on the MBZ toll road section remain smooth and well-controlled with support from regular traffic monitoring and the readiness of operational staff in the field,” she explained.

To support safe and smooth travel, PT JJC continues to urge road users on the MBZ toll road section to prioritise safety.

“Road users are urged to ensure that drivers and vehicles are in prime condition, maintain adequate electrical power and fuel reserves,” she stated.

“And to anticipate potential weather changes, particularly rain, which can affect visibility and road surface conditions, so that travel can proceed safely and comfortably until reaching their destination,” she added.
