H+1 Lebaran: Toll Road Traffic in Jabodetabek-West Java Increases
JAKARTA - Traffic flow on H+1 of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 M holiday remains monitored as high. This condition occurs alongside the increasing mobility of the public for socialising and tourism activities, particularly in the Jabodetabek and West Java regions.
Based on data from Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division (JMT), on Sunday (22/3/2026), there was a significant increase in vehicle volume on several main toll road sections.
The number rose by 27.49 per cent compared to the normal traffic transaction volume of 76,419 vehicles.
“Vehicle transaction volume at GT Cikupa towards Merak experienced an increase, recorded at 46,754 vehicles passing through or up 7.35 per cent from the normal traffic transaction of 43,554 vehicles,” said Widiyatmiko.
“Significant increase in vehicle transaction volume at GT Ciawi 1 towards Puncak Bogor was recorded at 50,673 vehicles, this figure up 54.19 per cent from the normal traffic transaction of 32,865 vehicles,” said Widiyatmiko.
Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Bandung and Rancaekek towards Jakarta through the same toll gate were recorded at 74,975 vehicles, up 10.19 per cent from the normal volume of 68,039 vehicles.
“At GT Cileunyi on the Padaleunyi Toll Road, vehicles heading to Rancaekek, Garut, and surrounding areas were recorded at 46,742 vehicles, up 42.66 per cent compared to normal conditions of 32,764 vehicles,” said Widiyatmiko.
“Meanwhile, the return flow towards Jakarta through GT Cileunyi reached 39,356 vehicles or up 18.76 per cent from normal conditions of 33,140 vehicles,” said Widiyatmiko.
Widiyatmiko added that at GT Pasteur on the Padaleunyi Toll Road, the vehicle volume heading to Bandung city was recorded at 38,820 vehicles or up 16.62 per cent compared to normal traffic of 33,288 vehicles.
Vehicles leaving Bandung towards Jakarta through the same gate were recorded at 35,619 vehicles or up 2.06 per cent from the normal volume of 34,899 vehicles.
Jasa Marga predicts that vehicle volumes in the Bandung and Jabodetabek regions will remain high until H+3 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. This condition is influenced by tourism and socialising activities, as well as the beginning of the return flow to Jabodetabek.
