Gus Yaqut Detained by KPK

Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, the suspect in the alleged corruption case involving hajj quotas and pilgrimage management, was remanded in custody following his examination at the KPK Red and White Building in Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

The KPK has detained the former Minister of Religious Affairs for the 2020-2024 period, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, over allegations of corruption concerning hajj quotas and the administration of pilgrimage services that have caused losses to state finances amounting to approximately Rp622 billion.
