Gus Miftah has spoken out after his name was mentioned in a trial for the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) at the Semarang District Court last Monday. During the trial, a commitment-making official (PPK) for the Solo-Semarang double-track railway project, Dheky Martin, testified that he gave Rp 100 million to Miftah. Miftah denied the allegation during a celebration event for the Ora Aji Islamic Boarding School on Saturday night. He expressed shock upon seeing the news on social media and stated that he does not know Dheky Martin. “I don’t know him. But it’s possible I forgot. If I ever received it, I will return the Rp 100 million,” Miftah said. He emphasised that he is merely a preacher and not a government official. Previously, KPK prosecutor Greafik Loserte confirmed the information came from witness Dheky Martin, who admitted to receiving money from contractors and channelling it to various parties, including Gus Miftah. However, the prosecutor stated they have not yet been able to confirm whether the money was actually received by Miftah.
