Gus Kikin Welcomes Gus Baha into PBNU Structure, Explaining the Reasons

The Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU), KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz, also known as Gus Kikin, has positively welcomed the joining of KH Ahmad Bahauddin Nursalim, or Gus Baha, into the PBNU management structure for the 2026-2031 period. In this new administration, Gus Baha has been entrusted with the role of Deputy Rais Aam of PBNU.

Gus Kikin stated that Gus Baha is one of the prominent figures in Indonesia. Consequently, PBNU is opening doors for figures deemed capable of contributing to the management team.

“Yes, he is one of the figures who is very prominent in Indonesia,” said Gus Kikin after announcing the new PBNU management structure for the 2026-2031 period at the PBNU Office, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (30/09/2026).

According to him, PBNU is striving to invite various figures to be involved in the management. Gus Kikin noted that Gus Baha’s willingness to join is something to be grateful for.

“Therefore, we invite anyone who is able. And alhamdulillah, including Gus Baha, who is willing to participate as a member of the PBNU management,” he said.

Gus Kikin considers Gus Baha’s willingness to join the PBNU management to be an extraordinary development. He hopes that the involvement of this young NU scholar will contribute to the journey of PBNU during the 2026-2031 period.

“And that, alhamdulillah, is a very extraordinary thing,” said Gus Kikin.

Gus Baha is known as one of the scholars who actively delivers Islamic studies to the public. In the PBNU management structure for the 2026-2031 period, his name is listed within the Syuriyah ranks.

The presence of Gus Baha is part of the PBNU management structure for the 2026-2031 period, which is led by Gus Kikin as Chairman and KH Miftachul Akhyar as Rais Aam.
