Gus Kikin Leads New PBNU Officials to Meet Prabowo at the Palace
KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz, also known as Gus Kikin, revealed that the new management of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) for the 2026-2031 term met with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday.
“We held this visit following the completion of the PBNU structural arrangement,” said Gus Kikin at the PBNU office in Jakarta on Wednesday night.
Gus Kikin noted that there were no specific messages delivered by Prabowo to the new PBNU management.
“Our focus is indeed on building unity, and that is what we intend to do. There was nothing specific,” he stated.
Furthermore, Gus Kikin mentioned that the meeting with Prabowo also involved discussions regarding NU’s activities and various government programmes.
Gus Kikin stated that during the first 100 days of his administration, he will undertake reconciliation and consolidation efforts with regional officials.
He also mentioned plans to hold the official inauguration of the management to coincide with National Santri Day on 22 October.
Last night, Gus Kikin, acting as the General Chairman of PBNU, announced the complete structure of the PBNU management for 2026-2031.
Gus Kikin conveyed that the total number of PBNU officials for the 2026-2031 term is 210 people.
He noted that this figure represents an increase of 21 people compared to the previous period, which consisted of 189 members.
