Gus Ipul confident Prabowo's France visit will benefit Indonesia

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, known as Gus Ipul, is confident that President Prabowo Subianto’s working visit to Paris, France, will bring benefits for Indonesia.

“We are confident it will bring benefits for Indonesia in the future. That’s the most important thing,” Gus Ipul said at Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

According to Gus Ipul, the Head of State carefully considers such visits, including to Paris.

Prabowo has again undertaken a working visit to France, arriving at Orly Airport around 10:00 local time (15:00 WIB) after a 16-hour flight. This is his fourth visit to France, with the purpose of strengthening the Indonesia-France Strategic Partnership, which continues to develop through frequent diplomatic engagement between the two presidents.
