Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) says that mental health and mental health problems among children and adolescents in Indonesia have reached a worrying stage. He says protecting children’s mental health is not a policy option but a constitutional obligation. The statement was delivered at a Ministerial Level Meeting (RTM) on Synchronisation and Coordination of Prevention and Handling of Children’s and Adolescents’ Mental Health Issues at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture in Central Jakarta on Thursday, 5 March 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Coordinating Minister for PMK Pratikno and attended by seven ministries and the Indonesian Police (Polri).
