Gus Dur must learn about democracy

The development of the social organizations is discouraging.
Many leaders preach democracy and look like a true democrat but
they do not behave accordingly.

Gus Dur (Abdurrahman Wahid), for example, who once said in
Australia that the Indonesian Moslems should be able to accept a
national leader hailing from a minority group if they want to
give true meaning to democracy. But in reality, he cannot work
cooperatively with Abu Hasan in leading Nahdlatul Ulama (NU)
following the end of the NU congress in Cipasung recently. Gus
Dur won the chairmanship election in the Congress by a narrow
margin against Abu Hasan. No landslide victory.

So, due to this fact, Gus Dur needs to learn more about
democracy.
