Gunungkidul Pasbata Assists Efendi and Encourages Him to Continue Schooling

The Underground Force (Pasbata) Prabowo in the Gunungkidul region visited the home of Ahmad Tri Efendi (10 years old) in Jeruken Hamlet, Girisekar Village, Panggang Subdistrict. This was as a form of concern for the child who was forced to drop out of school to care for his two ill parents.

Pasbata provided tangible support, both moral and material, to Fendi and his family. The assistance distributed included basic necessities such as rice, oil, and various other daily needs.

The Pasbata delegation also met directly with Slamet, Efendi’s father, to offer encouragement. Efendi cares for his mother who is paralysed due to a stroke and nerve disorder, as well as his father who also suffers from a nerve disorder. At such a young age, he goes through his days with full responsibility.

The Chairman of the Pasbata Prabowo Gunungkidul DPC, Martin, emphasised that they would not stand idly by in the face of this situation. “We are here for Efendi. No Indonesian child should lose their future just because of their family’s condition. This is a call of humanity,” said Martin in a press statement in Jakarta on Friday (20/3/2026).

His side encouraged Efendi to return to school and stated their readiness to coordinate with the local government and relevant parties. “We are ready to help find the best solutions, both in terms of education and his family’s health,” Martin said.

Previously, the Gunungkidul Regency Government (Pemkab) had also expressed commitment to helping Efendi return to school through a special approach. They also ensured that his two parents receive proper health treatment.
