Palangka Raya (ANTARA) - The Gunung Mas District Health Office (Dinkes Gumas) in Central Kalimantan, through its network of community health centres, is expanding the reach of the Free Health Check Programme (CKG) by adopting a proactive outreach method to workers in company environments.

“This is an effort to broaden the scope of health services, not only for the general public but also for workers in company settings,” said Acting Head of the Gunung Mas Health Office, Rina Sari, when contacted from Kuala Kurun on Monday.

She added that through this expansion of the CKG Programme, they aim to ensure that workers, whether in state-owned enterprises (BUMN), regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), or private companies, can access free health examinations.

“This is important as a step for early detection and disease prevention. The implementation of CKG for the BUMN sector has been carried out for PLN employees in Kuala Kurun. Meanwhile, for BUMD, similar services have also been provided to workers at the Regional Drinking Water Company (Perumdam) Maruang Duhung,” she said.

In the future, Dinkes Gumas, through its community health centres, will continue the CKG Programme and expand its coverage to various large private companies (PBS) operating in the local area.

“We will continue to conduct proactive outreach through community health centres so that more workers can be served. The hope is that awareness of the importance of maintaining health will increase and have an impact on work productivity,” she stated.

Meanwhile, the Head of Kurun Community Health Centre, Vera Crista, explained that the working area of the Kurun Community Health Centre covers several villages/sub-districts in the Kurun Sub-district, namely Kuala Kurun Sub-district, Tumbang Tambirah Village, Penda Pilang Village, and Tumbang Manyangan Village.

Thus, she said, workers from BUMN, BUMD, and PBS located in those four villages/sub-districts are the targets of the CKG Programme from the Kurun Community Health Centre.

For the BUMN sector, so far the Kurun Community Health Centre has only conducted examinations for PLN employees, while BUMN in the state-owned bank consortium (himbara) sector will follow soon.

For BUMD, the Kurun Community Health Centre has carried out CKG for workers at Perumdam Maruang Duhung, while for PBS workers, it will also be carried out soon.

The Director of Perumdam Maruang Duhung, Hendra Toendan, welcomed the CKG Programme that targets the entire community, including workers at the water company.
