Gunung Geulis hosts Champs Classic

JAKARTA: One hundred and two clubs were confirmed to take part in
the inaugural Credit Suisse Club Champions Classic, which starts
on Monday at the Gunung Geulis Country Club in Bogor.

"This prestigious tournament will be a very exciting one as it
involves only club champions of the PGI-member clubs," Manara
Effendi, the chairman of the organixing committee, said in a
release here on Saturday.

PGI is the Indonesian Amateur Golf Association.

"Hopefully, the tournament will be a stimulator of the PGI
members to enhance their championship activities with more
participants expected to take part in next year's Champions
Classic," he said. --JP
