Gunmen rob Riau businessman

PEKANBARU, Riau: A group of four armed people dressed in
military-style uniforms robbed a 42-year old rubber businessman
and forcibly took away Rp 90 million from him, police here said
on Tuesday.

The robbery case took place on Monday when Agus Lelan and his
driver was on their way to Pekanbaru, where the businessman would
have sold his merchandise.

When Agus arrived at Kabun village, four people riding on
another car stopped his vehicle after having overtaken it for
several times. The robbers then took him away to Bangkinang.

After having released by the robbers, Agus later contacted
police and told them the crook wore military style outfits and
carried firearms.

The police said they were still chasing for the robbers.
