Gun found in public minivan

JAKARTA: A revolver wrapped in a plastic bag was found by a
passenger on Thursday inside a public minivan plying the Pulo
Gadung to Kampung Melayu route in East Jakarta.

"I was curious seeing a plastic bag left on the seat, so I
took it and opened it. I told the driver what was in it and we
immediately brought it to a nearby police station," said the
minivan passenger, identified as Budi Santoso.

City police spokesman Sr. Comr. Tjiptono said that the police
were still searching for the owner of the FN revolver. -- JP
