Gulkarmat deploys 50 personnel to extinguish house fire in Muara Angke

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Service Sub-Department (Sudin Gulkarmat) deployed 50 personnel to extinguish a fire that struck a house in front of Muara Angke Terminal, Pluit Sub-district, Penjaringan District, on Friday morning. “We deployed 10 fire engines and 50 personnel to extinguish the fire,” said Gatot Sulaeman, Head of Operations at Sudin Gulkarmat Jakarta Utara dan Kepulauan Seribu in Jakarta, on Friday. He said the firefighting operation was still ongoing on the ground. “The cooling process is still ongoing,” Gatot said. He cited that the fire was reported at Jalan Pendaratan Ikan, precisely in front of Muara Angke Terminal, around 09:30 WIB. Officers immediately went to the fire scene at 09:35 WIB to extinguish the flames, and by 10:00 WIB, the fire had been localised. “The situation is still cooling and awaiting the fire to be extinguished,” Gatot added.
