Gulkarmat Deploys 25 Personnel to Extinguish Fire in North Jakarta

The North Jakarta and Kepulauan Seribu Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) deployed 25 personnel to extinguish a fire at the Mahkota Ancol Shop House Complex on Jalan Budi Mulia, Pademangan District, North Jakarta, on Saturday afternoon. “A total of five fire engines were deployed with 25 firefighters,” said Gatot Sulaeman, Head of Operations for North Jakarta and Kepulauan Seribu Gulkarmat, in Jakarta on Saturday. He stated that officers received information about the fire at 2:15 PM local time from a resident who reported it to the authorities. “A member of the public came to report it and we immediately dispatched officers,” he said. Officers arrived at the location at 2:19 PM local time and immediately began handling the fire. “Currently, the cooling down process is still underway,” said Gatot. His team is still gathering data on the suspected cause of the fire and the chronology of the incident as personnel continue to work in the field.
