JAKARTA — Guitarist Zendhy Kusuma has finally spoken about the incident in which he and his wife became angry and were accused of walking out with food from Bibi Kelinci Restaurant in Kemang, South Jakarta.

Previously, the case had escalated to legal proceedings. Zendhy and his wife were named as suspects in a theft charge by Bibi Kelinci Restaurant owner Nabilah O’Brien.

Conversely, Zendhy also reported Nabilah to the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim Polri) after the content creator uploaded CCTV footage of him and his wife arguing at Bibi Kelinci Restaurant. Nabilah was subsequently named as a suspect in a defamation case.

The incident originated from an event that occurred on the evening of 19 September 2025 at Bibi Kelinci Restaurant.

Contrary to Nabilah’s account stating the restaurant was busy that evening, according to Zendhy, Bibi Kelinci was relatively quiet at the time.

Through a video post on Instagram @zendhy.kusuma, Zendhy recounted that he arrived around 22:00 with his group. After ordering, they sat waiting, but their order did not arrive.

Zendhy asked the waiter several times about their order. According to him, the waiter promised the order would arrive within 15 minutes.

“We waited as per the information provided, but the order still did not arrive and we did not receive any clarity regarding the status of our order,” he explained.

“After waiting for nearly two hours, I entered the kitchen area to confirm whether our order had been prepared or not. At that time, I was not prevented from entering,” he said.

It was then that Zendhy discovered his order had not been prepared at all. The dozens of items he had ordered were only being prepared at that moment.

He then left and waited further until eventually his order was completed. However, according to him, his order was incomplete and appeared to have been served hastily.

Feeling disappointed, Zendhy and his group left directly with 11 dishes and 3 beverages without paying.

Zendhy acknowledged that a female employee chased him to his vehicle whilst carrying an electronic payment machine (EDC).

However, he decided not to pay immediately because he wanted to lodge a complaint with the restaurant owner.
