Guided by Muzani, Adela Kanasya Sworn in as MPR Member Replacing Adies Kadir
MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani guided Adela Kanasya Adies in taking her oath as a replacement member (PAW) of the People’s Consultative Assembly for the 2024-2029 period from the Golkar Party faction. Adela replaces Adies Kadir, who became a judge of the Constitutional Court (MK). The inauguration of Adela was held at the MPR Building, Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (22/6/2026). Muzani led the reading of Adela’s oath of office. “Before assuming the position of member of the People’s Consultative Assembly, you are obliged to take an oath according to the Islamic faith. Are you willing?” said Muzani. “Willing,” replied Adela. Muzani reminded that the oath delivered by Adela is a form of responsibility towards the state and the nation. He then guided the recitation of the oath, which Adela followed. “This oath is a promise to God Almighty and to mankind, which must be fulfilled with all sincerity and honesty. I hope you will follow and repeat my words solemnly,” he said. The Golkar legislator followed Muzani’s statement. Adela then stated she would carry out the mandate earnestly. “That I, in carrying out my duties, will work earnestly for the upholding of democratic life and prioritise the nation and state over the interests of any individual or group,” said Adela.
