Guide to Aussie firms in RI released
NUSA DUA, Bali (JP): Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer launched here yesterday the Directory of Australian Businesses in Indonesia, a verified listing of some 400 firms.
Downer described the directory as "a whole book full of potential relationships and contacts" and said it should serve as a guide for Australian firms venturing into Indonesia.
Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Production and Distribution Hartarto, who also attended the launching, welcomed the directory as a means to enhance trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The directory includes a comprehensive editorial section along with listings of more than 300 Australian firms or joint ventures, plus nearly 100 Indonesian companies which work with Australian enterprises.
The editorial section features an analysis of two-way trade and economic snapshots of both countries.
The directory provides media and special association contacts, as well as details on the Australian government's services in Indonesia.
Complete indices on Australian and Indonesian firms, and businesses classified by product or service activities, are included.
The directory is produced by the Australian Gold Group and its Indonesian partner Masindo, in cooperation with Austrade. (rid)
