Guests Arrive at Parliament Ahead of MPR Annual Session and State Address
A number of invited guests have begun arriving at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday morning ahead of the state agenda of the MPR RI Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
ANTARA monitoring at the location showed vehicles of invited guests, including escorted vehicles, entering the parliament complex ahead of the session scheduled to begin at 08.30 WIB.
A number of ambassadors from friendly countries, ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, leaders of state institutions, and other invited guests are scheduled to attend the state agenda.
The invitation list also includes the President and Vice President, former Presidents and Vice Presidents, as well as former leaders of the MPR, DPR and DPD.
The MPR RI Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD are part of a series of state agendas commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.
During the session, President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to deliver the State Address as well as a performance report of state institutions.
The arrival of invited guests took place amid security personnel guarding a number of access points to the parliament area.
Officers also managed the flow of vehicles to ensure the mobility of guests and session participants ran smoothly.
Meanwhile, motorists passing around Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto towards the parliament area were urged to follow the directions of officers in the event of traffic engineering during the series of activities.
The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has also prepared a situational traffic diversion scheme around the Parliament Complex of the DPR/MPR RI Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, to anticipate congestion during the series of state agendas.
“We urge road users to anticipate potential traffic congestion around the Senayan area. The President’s State Address agenda is scheduled to take place from 08.00 WIB until completion,” said Arif in Jakarta on Friday.
Arif explained that the implementation of traffic engineering and diversion around Senayan is situational, adjusting to the volume of vehicles and dynamics on the ground.
