Guess What? Wismoyo Arismunandar

"Sakarepmulah! (say what you like!)," Wismoyo Arismunandar,
the newly elected chairman of the National Sports Council (KONI),
jokingly replied in the Javanese language when asked by reporters
about his first day at KONI headquarters.

KONI's top officials are infamous for being absent from the
office.

The former Army Chief of Staff pointed out that it is his
secretary-general, Rudolf Warouw, who "is supposed to be ready at
any time."

"Yes, I will be here around the clock like a 24-hour on-call
doctor," added Warouw during last Wednesday's fast breaking
gathering at KONI headquarters.

Before finishing his kolak, a Javanese sweet compote made of
starchy food (cassava, bananas, sweet potatoes, etc.) stewed in
coconut milk and palm sugar, Wismoyo told photographers not to
take any photos of him because "I am going to slurp this kolak."

When dinner came, the retired four-star general again refused
to be photographed, saying "people will think that KONI officials
have nothing to do but eat." (arf)
