Guess What? Mien Uno

"Indonesian tycoons like Ciputra, Liem Sioe Liong,
Sudwikatmono, Murdaya, Eka Tjipta Widjaja, Tahiya, Ibrahim
Risjad, Mochtar Riady and Nursalim should concern themselves more
with preserving national culture," said Mien Uno, director of the
Indonesian chapter of the John Robert Power school of personality
development based in Boston.

"It's strange that only foreigners donated the funds for an
exhibition on antique Indonesian textiles," Uno said, referring
to a forthcoming exhibition Shadow of Gold of Indonesia to be
held at the Art Museum of Dallas in Texas on April 22 this year.

"This is a outstanding event and we should be proud that
Indonesian textiles are well appreciated. But, we need money to
organize the program. Indonesian tycoons should understand this
and pay attention," the expert on beauty and etiquette told The
Jakarta Post.

The exhibition will feature 300 antique Indonesian textiles,
including some from the collection of American Steven G. Alpert
who lived in Indonesia in the 1970s. The exhibition will be
supported by Mac Dermott, an oil mining heavy equipment
company.(als)
