Guard arrested for sexual assault

JAKARTA: Police arrested a security guard of a company in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, for allegedly sexually assaulting six girls, aged between six and eight years old.

City Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Tjiptono said on Wednesday the incident was reported to have taken place at the company's compound on Jl. Adhityawarman on Aug. 15.

Two of the six girls were allegedly raped by the guard, identified only as AH, while four others were molested.

According to Tjiptono, the suspect had invited the six girls into the office for "a chat" when nobody else was there.

Police managed to arrest the suspect after they received complaints from the girls' parents. -- JP
