GSRek Indonesia Successfully Holds Homecoming Sumba 2026 Event

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Telkomsel, together with the GSRek Indonesia Jakarta Chapter, has successfully held the Homecoming Sumba 2026 programme, which featured a range of humanitarian activities focused on education and access to clean water for surrounding communities.

In the event, 81 participants were involved in the humanitarian mission initiated by the organisers, from installing water tanks and providing clean water supplies through local suppliers to building pipe and tap distribution networks.

“Our arrival received a warm welcome from the students at the three schools we visited. Through this programme, we have distributed clean water installation aid, educational equipment, and basic necessities to schools in need,” said the Chairman of GSRek Indonesia Jakarta Chapter, Hendra Saputra, in an official statement on Tuesday.

In addition, Homecoming Sumba 2026 also addressed the education sector through visits to three schools: SD Negeri Ndata, SLB Negeri Loura, and SD Inpres Pantai Rua.

“Even at one of the schools, we also installed solar panels to support the teaching and learning process because that school did not yet have adequate electricity access. This need arose suddenly after we directly dialogued with the teachers and observed the conditions on the ground,” he continued.

The event was also supported by InJourney, BMW Motorrad, PUBG Mobile, PT Dharma Lautan Utama, PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, Katarsis, PT Surya Sakti Sukses, Wheels & Wonders, Holy 72 Garage, and SVGR Grafix Custom Sticker.
