DENVER (Dow Jones): Gulf Indonesia Resources Ltd. (GRL) said
it has received positive results from a natural gas delineation
well drilled in the South Jambi B Production Sharing Contract, or
PSC, area in South Sumatra, Indonesia.
In a news release, Gulf Indonesia said the South Jambi B PSC
is adjacent to and northwest of the Gulf-operated Corridor PSC
and lies within 50 kilometers of the natural gas pipeline leading
to Duri from the recently completed Corridor natural gas plant at
Grissik.
Gulf Indonesia holds a 45 percent working interest in the
South Jambi B PSC and is contract operator for Pertamina, the
Indonesian state oil company.
Partners are TOTAL of France with 30 percent and Pertamina
with 25 percent.
It said the Teluk Rendah 2 well in the north end of the South
Jambi B block tested two zones that flowed a combined 14.1
million cubic feet of natural gas and 292 barrels of condensate a
day through a 1/2-inch choke.
