GRIB Jaya Files Counter-Complaint Against Ahmad Bahar’s Daughter with Metropolitan Jakarta Police

GRIB Jaya filed a counter-complaint against writer Ahmad Bahar’s daughter, Ilma Sani Fitriana, and her associates with the Metropolitan Jakarta Police on Monday (25 May). The complaint was registered under case number LP/B/3749/V/2026/SPKT POLDA METRO JAYA dated 25 May 2026. Ilma is being reported under Article 264 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP), which pertains to the crime of spreading false information under Law No. 1 of 2023. ‘This report targets Ms. IF and her associates. Their statements disseminate incomplete, uncertain, and exaggerated news and information,’ said GRIB Jaya’s legal counsel spokesperson, Hika TA Putra, at the Metropolitan Jakarta Police on Monday. Hika explained the complaint was filed due to widespread inaccurate information on social media following GRIB Jaya’s visit to Ahmad Bahar’s residence some time ago. ‘We have observed numerous reports and information that have been sensationalised, exaggerated, and exploited by certain parties for their own interests. This serves as a message to rise above stepping on others’ heads,’ he added. Hika stated that evidence, including media and social media report links, was submitted with the complaint. Previously, Ahmad Bahar’s daughter, Ilma Sani Fitriana, had filed a report against GRIB Jaya’s chairman, Hercules Rosario Marshal, over alleged kidnapping. Ilma also reported GRIB Jaya members suspected of forcibly taking her. ‘For us, this constitutes criminal acts—hostage-taking, abduction, verbal threats, and the use of firearms and other actions,’ said Ilma’s legal counsel, Gufroni, to reporters on Friday (22 May). Gufroni explained that Ilma’s detention began with a siege of her home, followed by abduction and hostage-taking. He stated that during her transfer to GRIB Jaya’s central office, she faced verbal abuse, threats, and was allegedly threatened with a firearm. ‘There were threats of imprisonment, showing a pistol, and intimidation with it,’ he added. Ilma’s report was received and registered by the Metropolitan Jakarta Police under case number LP/B/3679/V/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated 22 May 2026. In addition to the alleged kidnapping, Ilma reported WhatsApp hacking, registered under the same case number dated 22 May 2026. ‘The second report concerns the hacking of Ilma Sani Fitriana’s mobile phone, which was the root cause of Hercules’ anger, as he wrongly assumed the WhatsApp messages were from our client, but they were not,’ he said.
