The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has recorded the addition of green open space area (RTH), the dismantling of monorail poles, and cross-cultural activities as part of Jakarta’s development achievements in the first quarter of 2026. Head of the Regional Planning and Development Agency (Bappeda) of DKI Jakarta Province, Atika Nur Rahmania, stated that this year, the Provincial Government inaugurated three parks, namely Taman Bendera Pusaka, Taman Kelinci Rorotan, and Taman Dukuh. “With these three parks, the total added RTH is around 3.7 hectares, with the RTH percentage reaching 5.6 percent,” Atika said in Jakarta on Friday. In addition, from the urban area arrangement aspect, the DKI Provincial Government has dismantled 109 monorail poles on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, followed by road arrangements under the complete street concept, targeted for completion on 22 June 2026. Atika said the arrangement includes widening sidewalks, building bicycle lanes, repairing drainage, arranging street lighting, and providing crossing facilities. All of this is part of efforts to shape Jakarta’s face as a global city. Jakarta’s face as a global city is also coloured by various activities that reflect the new face of Jakarta as an inclusive city encompassing diverse cultures. “The Jakarta Light Festival, Jakarta Chinese New Year Festival, Ogoh-Ogoh Parade, to the Ramadan Festival have encouraged cross-cultural interactions as well as economic movement with a total transaction of Rp67.5 trillion,” Atika revealed. In other performance aspects, she said the DKI Provincial Government has handled potholed roads with a total of 29,027 points from January to March 2026. In addition, the DKI Provincial Government also carried out quick actions to anticipate disaster impacts through mass community service activities “Jaga Jakarta Bersih” conducted simultaneously in various areas.
