REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Demand for homes with green space concepts in urban areas is still showing a positive trend. This is reflected in the sales of the The Forestine area in CitraGarden City, West Jakarta, which have exceeded Rp 500 billion in early February 2026.

This achievement confirms that consumer interest in homes with good environmental quality remains strong, even amidst city density. General Manager of Sales & Marketing for The Forestine, Jimmy Soh, stated that this market response indicates a shift in consumer preferences.

“The sales achievement reached in a short time shows that the home concept prioritising area quality and a good environment receives a positive reception from the public,” said Jimmy Soh.

The Forestine project is developed by Ciputra Group with a forest living concept that emphasises sustainability, comfort, and environmental quality. The development of this area also refers to the GREENSHIP Neighborhood standards from the Green Building Council Indonesia.

From a total area of 14 hectares, around 3.6 hectares or more than 25 percent is allocated as open green space. Facilities available include forest garden, jogging track, children’s playground, and communal areas that support a healthy lifestyle.

Deputy General Manager of Sales & Marketing for The Forestine, Jeffrey Jie, assessed that consumer awareness of the importance of the living environment continues to increase.

“Areas with open green spaces not only provide comfort but also enhance residents’ quality of life in the long term,” he said.

In addition to environmental aspects, this project also features modern home technology such as smart door locks that support security and ease of access. This aligns with the smart home trend in urban areas.

In terms of location, The Forestine is situated in the Aerotropolis CitraGarden City area with access about five minutes to Soekarno-Hatta Airport and major toll roads. This accessibility adds value for consumers, particularly professionals and young families.

On the other hand, market trends show increasing interest from the younger generation in home ownership. More than 60% of Generation Z are said to desire owning their own home, with preferences for healthy environments, technology, and functional design.

To support financing, the developer has partnered with 18 collaborating banks to provide mortgage services. This scheme offers flexibility for consumers in choosing financing according to their needs.

With these various advantages, The Forestine strengthens CitraGarden City’s position as an aerotropolis-based residential area in West Jakarta. This trend also shows that homes with green spaces are no longer just a lifestyle but have become a primary need for urban society.
