Green grocer's body found in Bogor

BOGOR: A green grocer was found dead and his body decomposed on Tuesday in his rented room in Kampung Lebak Kantin, Central Bogor.

Police officers identified the man as Irwandi, 32 and said they could not yet determine the cause of death, but that his body was at the Bogor PMI hospital.

According to the officers, they found a knife near his body and were investigating the case.

The owner of the property, Siti Hindun, 60, said that Irwandi had rented the room for about two years after he had arrived from Padang, West Sumatra. She said that Irwandi sold fruits and vegetables at the Bogor traditional market.

Hindun said that the body was found when her neighbor smelled something rotting and began to look around, believing it was a rat, when she came upon the body. --JP
