Green Era Energy Releases 350 Million Shares of Barito Renewables Energy
Foreign investors are observed offloading their shareholdings in Indonesia. The Singapore-based investment company, Green Era Energy Pte Ltd, sold 350 million shares of PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), an issuer owned by conglomerate Prajogo Pangestu, on Monday, 6 April 2026. According to the disclosure of information, this foreign entity sold BREN shares at Rp 4,510 per share. Thus, the total transaction value is estimated to reach around Rp 1.57 trillion. The company’s management explained that this step aims to increase the free float and liquidity of shares circulating on the exchange. With the increased portion of circulating shares, it is hoped that trading in BREN shares will become more active and attractive to both domestic and foreign investors. After the sale, Green Era Energy’s ownership of BREN shares decreased to 30.32 billion shares, with the voting rights portion dropping to 22.6655 per cent. Prior to the sale, Green Era Energy Pte Ltd controlled around 30.67 billion shares or equivalent to 22.9271 per cent. As of the close of trading on Tuesday, 7 April 2026, BREN shares strengthened by 6.65 per cent or 290 points. The rise propelled BREN shares to the level of 4,650.
