Great River's profit up

JAKARTA (JP): PT Great River International, a garment
manufacturer and retailer, posted a 112 percent increase in its
net profit to Rp 12.9 billion in the first half of this year from
Rp 6.1 billion (US$2.5 million) in same period of last year.

Its sale revenue rose 24 percent to Rp 95 billion in the first
half of this year due to increases in the sales volume on both
domestic and export markets, increases in selling prices and
contributions from the sales of products with new brands.

The company is projected to gain a total revenue of Rp 250
billion with a net profit of Rp 26 billion for the whole of this
