A student from SD Negeri 33 Rawang in Padang, West Sumatra, identified by the initials NA (10), has died in a case suspected to involve bullying by fellow students. On Monday morning (3/8), police exhumed NA’s grave to determine the exact cause of death. The exhumation, conducted by a medical team at the Tunggul Hitam public cemetery, was witnessed by the family and other related parties. Padang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Kompol M Yasin, stated that the procedure was part of the investigation into the case. The family’s legal representative, Faisal, welcomed the investigative step, stating the family believes NA’s death was unnatural and resulted from bullying at school. The victim had reportedly mentioned the names of two individuals, a boy and a girl, as the bullies before passing away. NA died on Thursday, 23 July 2026, after complaining of waist pain upon returning home from school. The family subsequently filed a police report due to suspicions surrounding the death.
