Gran Max and LCGC Models Bolster Daihatsu's March 2026 Sales

Daihatsu recorded retail sales of 11,115 units in March 2026. This performance is said to indicate a positive trend with a market share of 16.7 per cent.

Daihatsu’s sales composition in March 2026 came from two segments: passenger vehicles contributing 54 per cent and commercial vehicles 46 per cent.

In terms of models, the Sigra and Ayla, which compete in the low cost green car (LCGC) segment, contributed 3,779 units. This achievement places them at the top of the national LCGC segment.

Meanwhile, in the commercial segment, the Gran Max series recorded sales of 5,054 units in March 2026, with pickups selling 3,543 units and dominating with a 66.9 per cent market share.

Sri Agung Handayani, Marketing Director and Corporate Communication Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), stated that the contribution of Gran Max and Sigra as main pillars of sales, supported by other models, shows that Indonesian society’s vehicle needs are still dominated by functional, efficient vehicles with high value for money.

“Daihatsu is committed to continuing to provide products that are relevant to customer needs, as well as extensive after-sales services,” Agung said in an official statement on Thursday (16/4/2026).

Positive contributions also came from the passenger segment, such as the Terios, which recorded sales of 1,252 units and became the top choice in the medium LSUV segment with conventional engines priced below Rp 300 million.
