Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Rini Widyantini has officially released the latest regulation on official school recruitment. The regulation is contained in PANRB Ministerial Regulation Number 13 of 2026, which Rini signed on 15 July 2026. This regulation on the admission of official school students considers efforts to meet the need for Civil Servants (PNS) with technical and specific competencies to support the administration of government affairs in various fields. These fields include state finance and asset management, public administration, transportation, immigration and corrections, applied law, intelligence, statistics, cyber security and cryptography, as well as meteorology, climatology, and geophysics. “Students who are declared to have completed education at an Official School, evidenced by a diploma from the Official School, are proposed to become candidates for PNS,” as quoted from paragraph 1 of Article 24 of PANRB Ministerial Regulation 13/2026. Although there is no official date set for the official school recruitment period, the government in the regulation ensures that the Admission of Official School Students is carried out based on the principles of being transparent; objective; competitive; fair; non-discriminatory; and free from corrupt, collusive, and nepotistic practices. The selection stages for official school student admissions will consist of the recruitment announcement, registration, administrative selection, basic competency selection (SKD), advanced selection, final graduation determination, and the final announcement of selection results. The recruitment announcement is made by the ministry/institution organising the Official School through SSCASN and/or the official portal of the respective ministry/institution. Applicants for the Student Admission selection are required to register for only one Official School. If an applicant is found to have registered for more than one Official School, the applicant will be disqualified. Upon entering the SKD test period, after prospective students are declared to have passed the administrative selection, a national insight test, a general intelligence test, and a personal characteristics test will be conducted. “The test material, the number and composition of questions, and the SKD Passing Grade are determined by the Minister,” as stated in the latest PANRB Ministerial regulation. The list of government agencies that will recruit official school students is contained in a post by the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) on the Instagram account bkngoidofficial, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, Ministry of Law, Statistics Indonesia, State Intelligence Agency, National Cyber and Crypto Agency, and the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency.
