The government has begun the gradual disbursement of the 13th-month salary for Civil Servants (ASN) starting from 2 June 2026. Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) are among the groups entitled to receive this payment.

This is regulated under Government Regulation (PP) Number 9 of 2026, which was signed by President Prabowo Subianto on 3 March 2026. In addition to PPPK, recipients of the 13th-month salary include Civil Servants (PNS), Candidate Civil Servants (CPNS), members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), members of the National Police (Polri), state officials, pensioners, and allowance recipients.

Under the regulation, the government emphasised that this policy serves as a form of appreciation for state apparatus and other entitled recipients for their contributions to the nation. “The government provides Eid allowances and the 13th-month salary for 202<0xE2><0x80><0x89>6 to state apparatus, pensioners, and allowance recipients as a token of appreciation for their service to the nation and state, while considering the state’s financial capacity,” stated Article 2 of the regulation.

For PPPK whose income is paid through the State Budget (APBN), the 13th-month salary components include basic salary, family allowances, food allowances, position or general allowances, and performance allowances, adjusted according to their respective rank, position, and grade. Meanwhile, for PPPK funded through the Regional Budget (APBD), the 13th-month salary consists of basic salary, family allowances, food allowances, position or general allowances, and additional income.

The 13th-month salary can be provided up to a maximum amount equivalent to one month’s earnings, taking into account regional fiscal capacity and provisions regarding rank, position, and grade.

Although PPPK are included in the category of recipients, certain requirements must be met, particularly regarding length of service. For PPPK who have not completed one full year of service, the 13th-month salary will be paid proportionally based on the number of months worked. However, different provisions apply to PPPK whose period of service has not reached one full calendar month before 1 June 2026; this group is not included in the list of recipients for this year’s 13th-month salary.
