Grace Natalie: My statement about JK's video is perfectly normal
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Chairman of the Board of Patrons of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Grace Natalie stated that her remarks regarding a video of Indonesia’s 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla, or JK, were perfectly normal.
Grace said that to date, there has been no direct communication between her and JK. Nevertheless, she remains open if there is an opportunity to discuss or explain the context of her statement.
“So far, there has been no communication from my side (with Mr JK). Of course, I am open to discussing it; I have never had any problems with Mr JK as an individual. My statement was also perfectly normal,” Grace said during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.
Grace also emphasised that she is prepared to provide clarification if requested regarding her statement.
“Therefore, I am ready if asked for an explanation, for example, or if Mr JK wants to ask what the context is,” she said.
Grace also highlighted that the report related to this polemic was not filed directly by JK.
As such, she claimed not to know whether there is any connection between JK and the complainant.
When asked about the possibility of a meeting with JK, Grace reiterated that she is open to meeting and discussing directly if the opportunity arises.
“So far, no, but if he is open, then let’s do it. I have never had any problems with Mr JK; it’s just that it’s been a while since I last met him,” Grace said.
She also asked the public to review the track record of her personal relationship with JK, which she believes has always been good without any issues.
“I have never had any problems; friends can check my personal track record. I have never had any problems with Mr JK,” she added.
